1. Registration
A child is registered by a parent or legal guardian who is at least 18 years old and has the authority to register them. You agree that the details you give us, including the child's date of birth and any medical or allergy information, are accurate and kept up to date.
Groups are organized by age, checked against the child's age on the first day of the cycle. The ranges we accept are a little wider than the group names so kids near a boundary can be placed well. Coach Hadi may move a child to a more suitable group after seeing them play; we will talk to you first.
Each time slot has a fixed number of spots. A spot is only reserved once the deposit is paid (or, when a discount brings the deposit to $0, once you confirm the spot). While you are on the payment page the spot is held for 30 minutes; if the payment is not completed the spot is released.
2. Fees, deposit and balance
The fee for a cycle is shown on the registration page at the time you register (currently $150 per child for six weekly sessions). A $50 deposit is paid online to hold the spot and counts toward the fee. The rest, $100 per registration, is paid at session 1, in cash or by e-transfer, to Coach Hadi.
Discount codes are given by the academy to specific families and are personal to them. One code applies per registration, it comes off the deposit, and it cannot be combined with another code.
Family discount: once a family has two or more registrations in the same cycle (two children, or one child in two programs), the family gets $15 off per registration, and it comes off the deposit, not the balance. The first registration pays the full $50 deposit. The second pays a $20 deposit (the family's $30 for two registrations comes off it). Each further registration pays a $35 deposit. The balance at session 1 stays $100 per registration.
A referral code already includes that registration's $15, so the family discount is not added a second time for it. Registrations count as one family when they share the parent's email address. If a registration is cancelled, the family discount is recalculated for the registrations that remain and any difference is added to the balance due at session 1.
Prices are in Canadian dollars. Applicable taxes, if any, are stated on the registration page.
3. Trial session, refunds and cancellations
Session 1 is a trial. The deposit holds the spot and comes off the fee. It is fully refundable if:
- your child attends the first session and it's not the right fit, or
- you cancel at least 48 hours before the first session.
The deposit is non-refundable in cases of a no-show for the first session or a cancellation with less than 48 hours' notice.
To decline after the trial, tell Coach Hadi that day, in person or by text. Deposits paid online are refunded to the same card within a few business days.
After session 1, the fee for the cycle is due and is not refunded for sessions a child misses. If the academy cancels a session (weather, field unavailable, coach illness), we make it up on another date where we can, or credit it toward the next cycle. If the academy cancels a whole cycle, everything paid for it is refunded.
4. Sessions, weather and locations
Sessions run outdoors in public parks in Pointe-Claire (weekdays) and Dollard-des-Ormeaux (weekends), or indoors at a rented facility when the weather does not allow. The exact meeting spot is sent by text the day before, and any weather decision by 9 AM on the day.
Session 1 needs running shoes and a water bottle. From session 2, cleats and shin guards. Please arrive 10 minutes early so your child can settle in.
A parent or guardian stays at the field or is reachable by phone for the whole session, and is responsible for the child before the session starts and after it ends.
5. Risk and participation
Soccer is a physical activity. Children run, kick, fall, and collide, and minor injuries like bumps, scrapes and bruises are part of playing. By registering, you confirm that your child is healthy enough to take part, that you have told us about any medical condition or allergy the coaches should know about, and that you accept these ordinary risks of playing.
Our coaches keep groups small (6 to 8 kids), run age-appropriate activities, and carry a first-aid kit. If your child is hurt or unwell during a session, a coach will give first aid and contact you right away. If you cannot be reached and the coaches judge it necessary, you authorize them to call emergency services and to consent to emergency treatment on your behalf, at your cost.
Nothing in these terms limits the rights you or your child have under the laws of Quebec.
6. Photo and media release
Coaches or a photographer working for the academy may take photos and short videos during sessions. By ticking the photo and media release on the registration form, you allow Académie Trivela to use images and video of your child, without payment, in our marketing: this website, our Instagram and Facebook pages, ads, and printed material. We never publish a child's full name with their image.
You can decline or withdraw this permission at any time by writing to us at the address below. We will stop using new images of your child right away and remove existing ones from places we control within a reasonable time.
Anyone who photographs or films players for the academy, staff or contractor, completes a background check first.
7. Conduct
We coach with patience and respect and ask the same of players and parents. Behaviour that puts other children or coaches at risk, or that is abusive toward anyone at the field, may lead to a child being withdrawn from the program. In that case we refund the sessions not yet played.
8. Text messages (SMS) and email
Program. Académie Trivela sends text messages (SMS) from a Canadian number to parents and guardians. There are two kinds. Service texts are tied to a child's registration: session reminders, the meeting spot, and weather changes on the morning of. Promotional texts are program news and offers: when registration opens for the next cycle, referral and family offers, and the occasional update from Coach Hadi.
How you opt in. Registering a child means we may text the mobile number you give us with service texts about that child's sessions. Promotional texts are sent only if you gave express consent: by ticking the separate, optional box on the registration form, or by signing up on our text-updates page at academietrivela.com/sms. That box is never pre-ticked, and consenting to promotional texts is never a condition of registering or of buying anything from us. We do not treat a lead form on Facebook or Instagram as consent to text you.
Message frequency. Message frequency varies. Service texts follow your child's schedule (usually one or two per week during a cycle). Promotional texts are a few per program cycle, never more.
Cost. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. Académie Trivela does not charge for texts.
Opting out. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving texts from that number. You will get one final text confirming you are unsubscribed. After that we will not text you again unless you opt back in. If you stop service texts, we will still send session information by email.
Help. Reply HELP to any text for help, email info@academietrivela.com, or call 514-772-3225.
Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We are not responsible for texts that do not arrive because of your carrier, your device, or a number that is no longer yours; please keep your mobile number up to date with us.
Your information. Your mobile number and your opt-in are used only to send you these texts. They are never shared with or sold to third parties for their marketing. How we handle personal information is explained in our privacy policy at academietrivela.com/privacy.
Email. Registering a child also means we may email the address you give us about that registration. Every email we send about offers has an unsubscribe link.
9. Using this website
The registration, contact, careers and text-updates forms are for their stated purpose. Do not enter information about someone without their permission, submit false details, or interfere with the site. The content of this site belongs to Académie Trivela and may not be copied for commercial use.

10. Privacy
How we collect and use personal information, including children's information, is explained in our privacy policy at academietrivela.com/privacy. It forms part of these terms.
11. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the applicable laws of Canada. Nothing here takes away the protections you have as a consumer under Quebec's Consumer Protection Act.
Questions about these terms: info@academietrivela.com — Académie Trivela (Groupe Trivela Inc.), West Island, Montreal, Quebec. We may update these terms; the "last updated" date above shows the latest version, and the terms in force when you registered apply to that registration.
