Who we are
Académie Trivela is a youth soccer program operating in the West Island of Montreal, Quebec, legally Groupe Trivela Inc.. This policy explains what personal information we collect from parents and guardians, how we use it, and your rights.
Information we collect
- When you contact us or express interest (including through a Facebook or Instagram lead form, or the contact form on this site): your name, phone number, email address, your message, and your child's age range.
- When you register a child: the child's name and date of birth, parent/guardian contact details, and any medical or allergy information you provide.
- When you apply to work with us: your name, contact details, languages, availability, experience, and any portfolio link you share.
- Payment information: collected and processed by our payment processor (Stripe). We receive a confirmation of the deposit paid; we do not store your card details.
- Photos and video: taken at sessions, used only where a signed media release covers the child (see below).
- Consent records: the date and time you accepted the deposit terms, the waiver and photo release, and, if you ticked it, the optional text-message consent.
How we use it
- To contact you about programs, registration, schedules, and your child's participation.
- To place your child in the right age group and run sessions safely, including acting on medical information.
- To process registration and payments, and to apply family discounts across registrations that share a parent email.
- To send you occasional updates about upcoming sessions and offers. You can opt out at any time.
- To use session photos or video in our marketing only where a signed photo/media release covers the child.
- To review job applications and contact applicants.
How we collect it
Directly from you: through our lead forms on Facebook/Instagram, our registration, contact and careers forms on this site, in person, and by phone, email, or text.
Text messaging and mobile data
Registering a child means we may text the mobile number you give us about that child's sessions: reminders, and weather changes on the morning of. Those are service messages tied to your registration.
Promotional texts (program news and offers) are sent only to parents and guardians who have provided express consent, either by ticking the separate, unticked box on our registration form or by signing up on our text-updates page at academietrivela.com/sms; that consent is not a condition of registration or of any purchase. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out of texts, or HELP for help. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. We keep a record of each text-message opt-in: the name and mobile number given, the consent wording shown, the language, where it was given (registration form or text-updates page), and the date and time. We keep the same record when someone opts out.
No mobile information or phone numbers collected for text messaging will be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in and consent data are not shared with any third party.
Children's information
We collect children's information only from a parent or guardian for the purpose of running our programs safely. We keep it only as long as needed for that purpose.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as you are engaged with our programs and for a reasonable period afterward for administrative, legal, and safety reasons, then delete or anonymize it. Job applications are kept for the current and next hiring round.
Your rights
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you or your child, and you may withdraw consent to marketing communications at any time. To make a request, contact us at the address below. Consistent with Quebec's privacy law (Law 25), we will respond within the time the law requires.
